    For now only test for repeaters (8km) and there is a signal more powerful than from the factory antenna.

    Decent little antenna. SWR on both 70cm and 2m is pretty close to 1, and I can pick up a repeater about 6 miles away clearly, so I’m happy with this. Recommended.

    Put a stronger magnet on it.
    I slotted a stronger magnet on it.
    A stronger Magnet recommended.

    great entry level antenna that is used in most newer chinese knock off handheld transceiver has a magnetic base and if you want it to stick well to car you will need a extra pharos metal plate attach that via foam sticker and you will never lose your antenna. I did not swr test nor did I field test. I did the quick n dirty bench test with antenna plugged in your recieving gain is increased. but the build aside the fact you need to protect the package in mailing better bent antenna don’t work as well as a straight one you. and yes I understand the coils in the antenna and are fine. I’m talking the main all out shape should be straight both come bent to a 45 degree and was able to fix with a tweak of the pliers ….good as new…
